Continuous three-dimensional stress monitoring in roof of coal mines for investigating the rockburst control effect with hydraulic fracturing

چکیده
The occurrence of rockburst in coal mines is closely related to the stress and rock mass. Through hydraulic fracturing measurements roof, three-dimensional roof before after as well during working face advancing was monitored, effect on controlling studied. test results show that (1) fracturing, three principal stresses decreased remarkably, whose maximum reduction about 20%, while elastic strain energy by 31% well; (2) advanced, front would increase continuously until reaching peaks induce strata fracture, variation basically consistent with magnitude stress; (3) position peak moved from 11 21 m face, decreased, 32%, also significantly 51%. field investigation shows can release mass instantaneously, will reduce risk rockburst; be an effective pre-destressing method concentration mining, prevent rockburst.

Monitoring and Measuring Hydraulic Fracturing Growth During Preconditioning of a Roof Rock over a Coal Longwall Panel
Narrabri Coal Operations is longwall mining coal directly below a 15 to 20 m thick conglom‐ erate sequence expected to be capable of producing a windblast upon first caving at longwall startup and producing periodic weighting during regular mining. Site characterisation and field trials were undertaken to evaluate hydraulic fracturing as a method to precondition the conglomerate strata sufficie...
متن کاملMine Roof Condition and the Occurrence of Roof Falls in Coal Mines
Mine roof fall characteristics of 250 falls in 5 different room-and-pillar coal mines, located in Pike, Martin, and Floyd counties, Kentucky, were investigated to determine the relationship of selected parameters associated with roof failure and the assumed condition of the mine roof before failure. The selected parameters used in the study included: presence of cracks and water before the occu...
متن کاملInvestigating the effect of fractures on unusual gas emission in coal mines; case study of Parvadeh coal mine, Iran
In the present study, an investigation was carried out on Parvadeh coal mine in Tabas, Iran, to survey the effect of fractures on unusual methane gas emission in coal mines. This coal mine was chosen for investigating because of its high methane gas content in the coal body and available data from sensors in desired locations. Gas concentration monitoring programs were carried out at the mine s...

abstract while task-based instruction is considered as the most effective way to learn a language in the related literature, it is oversimplified on various grounds. different variables may affect how students are engaged with not only the language but also with the task itself. the present study was conducted to investigate language and task related engagement on the basis of the task typolog...
15 صفحه اولKnowledge-Enhanced CO-monitoring in Coal-Mines
Detection of underground res is an important security task in hard-coal mining. Automated re detection systems are usually based on the monitoring of carbon monoxide (CO). Systems using conventional technology based on threshold and tendency observations, however, generate a large number of false alarms. We show how CO-concentrations can be forecast by appropriate models of the physical and che...
